I believe Nabisco stopped manufacturing Ideal Bars because the chocolate the recipe called for was too costly to make. In the past 10 years or so I have not found them and about 2009 time frame I asked Nabisco what happened and they said that they stopped making them totally. Grew up in the Detroit area . We hid them in the frige and I can still taste the creamy, fresh peanut butter. I can't help but wonder if Hershey paid Nabisco to discontinue Ideal bars.
