We descended via The Swirlal Edge which was a way shorter scramble, we then reached the lake and chilled there before we took the longer route back. I love hiking and thoroughly enjoyed my day ascending Helvellyn via Striding Edge and coming back down the other side. Highlights of the walk include the views towards Thirlmere, Striding Edge and the ridge walk back to Grisedale Tarn.
